Winter is coming
Why not treat yourself to a luxury fish pie mix?
Prime cuts of chunky cod, salmon, haddock & a hint of smoked haddock skinless, boned
and ready to cook.
Simply cook your fish in milk with half a chopped onion, drain the fish keeping the milk to one side.
Use the milk to make your sauce, thicken the sauce using a roux or cornflour for simplicity, season to taste. Place the cooked fish in an ovenproof dish , add a boiled egg roughly cut up (optional) and cover with the thickened milk sauce, add parsley to the sauce. For the topping cover with traditionally piped creamed potato, gatenated with cheese or alternatively puff pastry laid ontop with a coating of egg wash. Bake in the oven on a medium heat for approx 20 minutes until pipping hot. Enjoy..
